These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Drop mobile applications, website and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Kriative Tech Limited ("Drop", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Drop is
Drop is a technology platform that connects passengers with independent tricycle ("keke") riders in Enugu, Nigeria. Drop itself does not provide transport services and is not a transport carrier. Riders are independent operators, not employees or agents of Drop. Any ride is a contract between the passenger and the rider.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using Drop you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.
3. Your account
- You register with your phone number and verify it with a one-time code (OTP).
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device secure.
- You agree to provide accurate profile details, including an emergency contact where requested.
- Riders must complete verification, which includes providing a clear face photo, keke plate number and other details, before they can accept trips.
4. Fares and payment
- Fares are calculated from a base fare set for your zone plus a per-kilometre rate for the trip distance, and are shown to you before you request a ride.
- Passengers and riders may agree a different fare before the trip begins.
- Payment is currently made in cash directly to the rider at the end of the trip, unless stated otherwise in the app.
- Fares are rounded for convenience. You are responsible for paying the agreed fare.
5. Conduct
You agree to use the Service lawfully and respectfully. You will not misuse the Service, harass other users, provide false information, attempt to defraud, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or put others at risk.
6. Safety
Drop provides safety features including verified rider profiles, live trip sharing and an in-app emergency button. These features are provided to help, but they do not guarantee your safety and are not a substitute for emergency services. In an emergency, always contact the Nigeria Police or relevant emergency services directly.
7. Cancellations
You may cancel a trip in the app before or during a ride. Repeated or abusive cancellations may lead to restrictions on your account.
8. Ratings
Passengers and riders may rate each other after a trip. Ratings help keep the community safe and reliable. We may act on consistently poor ratings or reports.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Drop is not liable for the acts or omissions of riders or passengers, for any loss, injury or damage arising from a ride, or for interruptions to the Service (for example due to network or GPS conditions). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or where required by law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Enugu State.
